826 Valencia’s Volunteer Associate Board (VAB) is a group of early to mid-career professionals interested in making a difference in their community. Representing a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, they are united by a passion for our mission. 

The VAB was formed as a junior board in 2018 to support 826 Valencia’s fundraising goals and build community.

Time Commitment and Expectations:

🤝 Collaborative Time: Attend all monthly meetings and attend quarterly in-person team-bonding events 

💥 Creativity and Execution: Support 826 Valencia’s annual fundraising goal by planning an annual fundraising marquee event and additional fundraising opportunities 

📕 Give Back: Volunteer at at least one 826 Valencia staff-hosted event (e.g., table at a neighborhood block party, review 826 Valencia students’ Personal Statement essays)
