Diane Dolloff is our February Teacher of the Month!

Love is in the air and here at 826 Valencia, we LOVE to celebrate and appreciate our teachers. In this post, we’re celebrating Ms. Diane Dolloff, a 2nd grade teacher at Grattan Elementary and our February Teacher of the Month!

Diane Dolloff Feb 22 TOTM

Ms. Dolloff cares deeply about her students and devotes her time to making sure they get the best education possible. As one parent shared, “during school closures, Ms. Diane held 3-4 Zoom sessions daily in addition to assigning and reviewing homework each evening.” She  also diligently kept her students’ parents in the loop by “sending a detailed schedule and newsletter each week to families” and spent time on Zoom giving one-on-one and group lessons to students that needed individualized attention.

This devotion to teaching informed Ms. Dolloff’s decision to follow her first grade students into second grade which she did “to serve as a consistent and familiar resource for kids going through so much change during this pandemic.” In addition to teaching, she also serves on the School Site Council and “actively participates and comes up with great ideas to better serve the Grattan community.”

Ms. Dolloff gives her all to teaching and inspires both students and parents alike with her welcoming and helpful demeanor. One parent calls her a “patient yet powerful force” and shares that “there is no limit to her giving to students, their families, and Grattan.” As a result, her students gain more confidence in their skills and abilities. A few of her former students fondly share that “Ms. Diane is the best mix of fun, nice at teaching, and strict all in the perfect (emphasis on perfect) mix. I 100% want her to be my teacher again.”

Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication, Ms. Dolloff! We are thrilled to celebrate you as our February 2022 Teacher of the Month!
