Meet our December Teacher of the Month, Bonnie Kuczborski!

Before we turn the page on 2019 and close out a great year of programming, events, and community fun, there are a few things left for us to do. One of them? Announce our final Teacher of the Month for 2019! This December, we’re excited to honor Bonnie Kuczborski, a fifth-grade teacher at Alvarado Elementary who has shown an exceptional commitment to her students’ academic and emotional needs.

Meet our December Teacher of the Month, Bonnie Kuczborski!Ms. Kuczborski has exhibited a keen focus on meeting the varying needs of each of her students. She makes sure to differentiate her curriculum to account for a range of learning styles, and in doing so makes the most of each student’s learning experience. One student said, “She was really a good teacher and took the time to know use first individually, and she understood us… She was like a kid. She was like our friend.”

Beyond teaching, Ms. Kuczborski has been a committed member of the school community for many years, and has continually found ways to support and enrich both students and fellow staff. One colleague said, “Ms. Kuczborski consistently provides leadership to her grade level colleagues by taking on additional responsibilities every year, which includes leading graduation practices and meeting health education teaching responsibilities.”

Preparing students for the transition to middle school, can be a particularly difficult task, but Ms. Kuczborski has continually shown that she is up to the challenge. She ensures that her students have the tools to excel during this time of transition and beyond. As one parent said, “Her ability to inspire and instill confidence and maturity in her students is unparalleled.”

We are so impressed and inspired by Ms. Kuczborski’s work, and we are so excited to honor her as our December Teacher of the Month. Congratulations!
