Here at 826, we’re always looking for exciting and innovative ways to share the amazing writing our students create every day. Thankfully, there are a lot of members of our community—like those at Equator Coffee—who feel the same!

Recently, we partnered with Equator to showcase some of the wonderful pieces of writing by our talented young authors. A poem by Jabari R., 14, is currently featured on colorful and festive coffee sleeves, which adorn delicious caffeinated drinks at every Equator location. Grab a coffee (or tea, or chai, or your hot drink of choice) to read Jabari’s work! If you’re feeling inspired, we’d love to see your pictures of this beautiful poem in the wild — take a photo  of your cup, tag any of our accounts, and use the hashtags #826Equator and #826coffeepoems.

Because we couldn’t pick just one piece of student writing to highlight, at Equator’s Warfield location, you’ll also find a gallery wall highlighting a wide variety of writing by 826 students. The arrangement (in true 826 style) is whimsical, wacky, and engaging, and allows viewers to get a taste of some of the amazing work that our students produce.
