About Greenlake
Dominated by the Green Lake - a freshwater lake in a glacially-dug basin - Greenlake neighborhood is a primarily-residential area, with several small and medium businesses. The Carnegie library, opened in 1910, was remodeled in 2003; and the neighborhood has undergone significant redevelopment since 1995, with most homes being completely remodeled.
See & Do
Walking and running trails circle the lake. The original bathhouse now serves as a theater. Rowers and kayakers are active on the water through the spring, summer, and early fall. The park offers activities year round including a public rowing program. outdoor theatre, boating facilities, and of course the busy walking and running paths!
Eat
With lovely views of Green Lake, a contemporary American menu, local ingredients and wonderfully pungent seasonings, this chef-owned restaurant offers a relaxed, refreshing, classic and unconventional experience. Side dishes, including rosemary-pecan bread pudding, almond couscous, and caramelized turnips serve as beautiful complements.
