About West End

Dallas's all-in-one tourist stop is a great place to start any tour of the Metroplex. The area, comprised of renovated brick warehouses, dates back to the early 20th century and now boasts dozens of restaurants and retailers. The West End is bound by Market Street, Pacific Avenue, and Woodall Rogers Freeway and is located southwest of Downtown. It's a short walk from both Dealey Plaza and the Old Red Courthouse.
See & Do
Visitors will have a ton of things to do in the Dallas West End neighborhood. Spend an afternoon at the Dallas World Aquarium, a perfect spot for the whole family. History buffs can visit the Old Red Courthouse or the Sixth Floor Museum, all within steps of the West End.
Eat
No matter your tastes or budget, the West End has it all. If you're looking for some good ole' Texas cuisine, visit Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse for some Texas barbecue or Hoffbrau Steaks for you guessed it... steak! Other popular tourist spots include Dick's Last Resort, one of the rowdiest restaurants in town, or the RJ Mexican Cuisine, the perfect place to quench your Mexican and Tex-Mex cravings.
Party
There's always something going on in the West End, so visitors looking for something fun to do will not be disappointed. For a relaxed evening kicking back some beers, visit the popular West End Pub. If you've brought your dancing shoes, head on over to Mambo Cafe for some salsa and reggaeton music. The West End also is the party spot for the raucous Texas-OU weekend, where the party spills out into the streets.
Shop
A trip to Dallas wouldn't be complete without a little shopping, and visitors can visit numerous Texan boutiques in the West End. Go to Wild Bill's Western Store to stock up on western attire, such as cowboy hats and boots. If that's not your style, visit one of numerous boutiques that feature Dallas souvenirs for your friends and family back home.
