Best Pet-Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas

About seven miles west of the Strip, the Best Western Plus Las Vegas West sits close to major streets and freeways, but is still in a quiet location with plenty of nearby places to walk your dog--although you can have other pets as well (check ahead with the manager). Weight limit for dogs is 80 pounds, and two dogs per room are allowed. A nominal $10.00 per day is charged per pet. At the Best Western LV West, the nearby Lakes community is filled with lovely areas to walk Fido (or Fluffy) and enjoy views of the man-made lakes. Just south of the Best Western, you'll find Desert Breeze park, which includes a dog park. The reasonably priced rooms were recently renovated and come with, Internet, microwave and refrigerator and free breakfast. Other Best Westerns around Las Vegas (and elsewhere) also accept pets, although policies vary by hotel.

Located one block east of the Las Vegas Strip, Platinum is an all-suites, non-gaming property with features pleasing to those who are traveling with dogs or children. Large, apartment-like rooms come with kitchens, and an off-the-Strip location puts you close to the Vegas action, but not right in the heart of it. Only dogs are allowed and must be 40 pounds or less, and the fee is $75; check for other applicable costs when you book. A dedicated fenced-in dog area gives you a place to let Fido stretch his legs. Platinum's location puts it close to UNLV and the east side of the city, a plus if you're visiting those parts of Las Vegas.

This neighborhood La Quinta Inn in Summerlin is adjacent to restaurants, shopping and a movie theater, as well as parks and walk-able suburban streets. The reliable chain welcomes dogs and cats, but no more than two per room. No pet deposit is required. The small hotel is easy to navigate with kids or pets, and abundant parking is right outside the front doors. Free WiFi and breakfast is provided. Rooms feature either a microwave and mini refrigerator or kitchenettes in the suites. The hotel is situated on a major thoroughfare and close to freeways, giving guests easy access to get around Las Vegas, especially the west and southwest portions of the valley. Other La Quintas in Las Vegas (and in most other cities) are also pet-friendly.

This non-gaming property on the west side of Las Vegas gives guests a pet-friendly choice away from the Strip. Standard guest rooms and several styles of suites offer guests plenty of options for accommodations. Element has the advantage of being right off the 215 freeway, making access to other parts of Las Vegas easy, and it's close to residential areas that have plenty of parks. If you'd like to take your dog out for an expedition, Red Rock Canyon is a short distance away. For a short walk, the attractively landscaped streets of Summerlin are just beyond the parking lot. Element allows dogs up to 40 pounds and gives them treats when they arrive.

Caesars Palace has been known as a Las Vegas luxury hotel since its opening. Deluxe rooms, upscale restaurants, and headline acts have defined this property for decades. With the PetStay program, guests can bring up to two dogs, each weighing 50 pounds or less. Upon arrival, you'll get dog treats and other goodies. Designated relief areas and walking routes are provided. Caesars Palace is located centrally on the Las Vegas Strip, putting visitors close to a host of well-known attractions. King and queen size beds are the norm, along with large bathrooms. The ever-expanding Ceasars Palace has more than one tower, with Octavius Tower its most recent ground-up addition, and most of the older rooms in the hotel have been renovated. Caesars Palace is one of four Caesars hotels to participate in PetStay. Other properties include Planet Hollywood, Paris Las Vegas and Rio Las Vegas.

Vdara at City Center is a non-smoking, non-gaming, all-suites hotel. The smallest suite is fully outfitted with superior amenities throughout, and the kitchenette includes a two-burner cook top and a table that seats two. Some of the larger rooms also have a washer and dryer. Vdara is pet-friendly as well in its Vdog Suites, welcoming dogs up to 70 pounds (or two dogs with a combined weight of 70 pounds). To make your dog feel at home, Vdara provides a treat upon arrival, an in-suite dog dining menu, dog bowls and crates upon request and 24-hour access to a little dog park with a walking path. For the humans in your group, a spa and salon are onsite, as well as a small market and 24-hour in-room dining. Nearby, you'll find a wealth of restaurants, shopping, and shows.

Located just east of the Strip in a business park area, Marriott's Residence Inn on Hughes Center welcomes up to three pets of less than 50 pounds each.. The roomy suites at this extended stay hotel include kitchens, and a grocery shopping service is available. Close to the Strip, UNLV and the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Residence Inn's convenient location is one of its many pluses. Through December 2017, check to see if the Pet Value Package is available: along with waiving the pet cleaning fee, the special includes a welcome gift for your dog or cat, pet treats, food dish and daily free breakfast.

The Four Seasons Hotel, which sits on the same property as Mandalay Bay, is an upscale hotel with roomy accommodations and plenty of amenities. The luxury property has a pleasant "almost on the Strip" feeling and no gaming--one of the reasons it's popular with families. Dogs up to 25 pounds are allowed (for an additional fee), and if you'd like to take Fido out for a walk along the Strip, this area of Las Vegas Boulevard is less crowded than the sidewalks further north. (Dogs are prohibited on Las Vegas Boulevard from Noon to 5 a.m., so get out in the morning for your stroll.) Guests at the Four Seasons also have access to all of Mandalay Bay's features, including the casino, over 20 restaurants and the popular pool area.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is one of the Strip's newest hotels, and it features an eclectic, trendy vibe. Located in the heart of the Strip, this hotel welcomes small dogs up to 25 pounds and offers two outdoor dog runs; a nightly charge per dog applies. Be sure to get a map of the property to check out the dog-friendly spots and keep in mind dogs aren't allowed in areas like the casino or around the pool. A wide array of available room styles gives you several choices to consider, including several roomy suites. If you don't want to venture far in the evenings, the Cosmopolitan is home to some of the newest and most acclaimed restaurants and bars on the Strip. With the hotel's central location, you can also walk to many nearby attractions.

The sleek, sophisticated Delano offers guests a calming atmosphere and spacious rooms. The recently renovated guestrooms are suite-style, with separate living and bedroom areas and a half bath. The large rooms and calm ambiance are a plus for guests who would like a little peacefulness while they're in Vegas. Guests traveling with dogs will be pleased to find Delano has dog-friendly rooms that come with a room service menu just for four-legged guests, and sitting services. If you're worried about your dog while you're out, you can request someone check on your friend and text you to let you know all is well. Up to two dogs are allowed, with a maximum combined weight of less than 100 pounds. Additional fees are charged per day, per dog.
