About North Shore

Secluded beaches, hidden waterfalls, remote caves, and secret tide pools can all be found on the North Shore. The tall cliffs that line a lot of the coast serve as a barrier between the beaten path and secluded places to enjoy. Most can be reached with a rather low impact walk or hike. SeaLodge Beach.

See & Do
Lumahai Beach, Ha`ena Beach Park, and Hanalei Bay are some of the best beaches on the island. Made up of miles of fine white sand, great surf and snorkeling, fresh water rivers and picnic area, these beaches can't be beat. Catch a wave at Hanalei Bay, snorkel at Ke`e Beach, and spend a full day in the sand at Ha`ena, and you'll fee like a true beach bum.
Eat
Mediterranean Gourmet serves up renowned food at an ocean front location. You can also go to the luau with Hawaiian entertainment such as hula dancing, fire knife dancing, and local music. On the buffet you'll find lomilomi salmon, kalua pork, haupia, coconut cake, and of course, poi. The event is limited to 80 guests at a time so reservations are required.
Party
Colorful and relaxed, Tahiti Nui provides a healthy dose of local style and an authentic taste of traditional Kauai. The comfortable hangout welcomes folks craving homestyle sustenance, as well as those who come to enjoy a tropical drink and great entertainment. Enjoy whatever catches your eye, and make sure to stick around for the night's entertainment, which could be live music, dancing, or karaoke.
Stay
Staying true to the natural and simple style of Kauai's North Shore and Hanalei, the Hanalei Inn offers just five quaint and cute rooms, only a block away from beautiful Hanalei Bay. The rooms are without frills and provide queen-sized beds, homey local-style decor, air conditioning, TV, and a covered lanai (porch) to take in the lush mountain views.
Shop
Home to a huge array of shopping, the North Shore allows you to shop till you drop. Drop by Ching Young Village in Hanalei for surf shops, gifts, and housewares. Across the street is Hanalei Center with more surf gear, tons of clothing, and unique collectibles. There's no shortage of locally produced arts and goods here making it extra special.
