About Paris Shopping
Paris Shopping can be simplified into an easy equation of an area or a neighborhood for a category. Example : fine jewelry and watches, head to Place Vendôme. Luxury designer-wear, it’s Rue St.-Honoré or Avenue Montaigne. For perfume, you’ll find a high concentration of the world’s best pefume boutiques on Rue des Francs-Bourgeois in the Marais. For antiques and top-end home design it’s Rue Saint Pères and environs in St.-Germain-des-Prés.
For the foodies head to rue Montorgeuil just behind Les Halles, La Grande Epicerie which is the food emporium of the Left Bank’s Le Bon Marché department store, or the shops like La Maison de la Truffe and Fauchon that encircle Place de la Madeleine.
A wine lover is sure to delight in the many wine shops in Paris and for the sheer pleasure of the vibrant colors and fragrances of flowers, a stroll through the Marché aux Fleurs on the Ile de la Cité is joy itself. The beloved Ile St.-Louis is just a hop-and-a-skip from there, so why not top it off with a stroll around its shops, not forgetting to pick up some treats at Berthillon, the cheese shop, the jewelry shops, clothing shops and of course the art galleries for souvenirs, keepsakes or as gifts.

Expert Tips for Paris Shopping
-
La Mercerie Parisienne: "Just the right trimming on a pillow or a curtain, the right buttons on a blazer or a blouse, this is what maked the difference between off-the-rack and bespoke. This is one of those gems of a Parisian shops where it's as much fun to wander through as it is to shop in. It's also just a few steps from the Place des Vosges, so easy to find and convenient to get to. So come with your shopping list of buttons and baubles and prepare to stock up!"
-
Marche Paul Bert Serpette: "Extraordinarlily well-organized, the hundred or so vendors at this antiques and fine, one-of-a-kind art and furniture market have on-site shipping service. So if you fall in love with that Robespierre bronze bust from the 18th c., no worries, someone is there to ship it directly back home for you."

Caroll: "You will find these shops in the best neighborhoods and shopping districts of Paris. But while this one is just a stone's throw from the very upscale Left Bank department store, Le Bon Marche, This is the one shop in Paris of this chain store brand that is the off-season outlet. Here you will find dresses from last season at a sweet little discount just because they were worn last summer or last fall. The quality however still screams French craftsmanship so you can't go wrong."
