As you walk down Vancouver's Robson Street towards Thurlow Street, a spa-like aroma gently wafts its way down the sidewalk; when you smell this, you know you're close to Saje Natural Wellness.
Outside the store are a couple of their famous nebulizers, which lure shoppers inside the luscious-smelling space. Once you're inside, a huge selection of natural products — ranging from soaps and lotions to natural deodorant and essential oils — greet you.

While the products may leave you feeling good, you can also feel good about using them, too. This Canadian-owned and -operated business doesn't test their products on animals, and their products are free from synthetic fragrances and colors, petrochemicals, parabens, SLS, SLES, PEGS and glycols.
Their business model has a strong commitment to the environment, and all of their ingredients are derived from safe and renewable resources. The packaging is even made of recycled or recyclable materials, too.
While the products smell great, they also have a purpose: they're made to help people feel better, naturally. Peppermint Halo is wonderful for headaches, while Arnica Rescue soothes muscles, reduces inflammation and heals bruising.
One of the products that they're most known for is their nebulizers, which fill the air with a lovely smell and help reduce dust and common allergens. The nebulizers use "an ultrasonic, heat-free system to diffuse nurturing essential oil atoms into the air, along with negatively-charged ions that simulate a tranquil oceanside experience."
With a variety of nebulizers to choose from, there's one that will suit your home or office. To use them, you fill a designated area with water and add in some drops of the essential oils and turn it on. The beautiful smell is instant! There are so many different oils to choose from, and you can mix them to create your own unique blend.
Saje sources its essential oils from around the globe, including France, the United States, Australia, Canada and Bulgaria, and they manufacture the products in Canada. In fact, over 90% of their products are made in Canada.
While Vancouver has been fortunate enough to have Saje for a number of years, the rest of Canada will see Saje stores popping up over the next few years. They recently announced that they'll be opening 10 more stores in Ontario and Alberta.
Saje's nebulizers make for a unique souvenir or gift to take back home. They ship outside of Canada, so you can refill on essential oils at any time.
