About San Francisco, CA Hotels
Don't skip San Francisco's impressive array of luxury hotels just because you can't afford them. Some of these grand buildings date all the way back to the Great Quake of 1906 and are worth a visit for their history alone. For example, the lobby of The St. Francis Hotel also happens to be one of the better museums in town. The bar at the Palace is centrally located and makes some of the city's best cocktails, and the Top of the Mark at the very top of the Sir Francis Drake has some reasonably-priced specials and some of the best views of downtown. San Francisco is a pricey city, but seasoned travelers never let money get in between them and a good time.
