Best Happy Hour in Napa Valley

There's always something new to try at Napa Palisades, thanks to the rotating tap list of more than 30 local craft beers that changes by the day. Happy hour takes place Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm. Tasty bites are always in ample supply, but the menu changes seasonally, so there's always new things to try. You might stumble upon 25 cent chicken wings, and there could be a drink theme like "Moscow Monday" with $5 White Russians & Moscow Mules or $5 "Whiskey Wednesdays." With plenty of big screen televisions, the saloon is also a popular spot to watch sporting events.

Part of the always hopping Oxbow Public Market in downtown Napa, Kitchen Door offers daily happy hours special from 3pm to 5:30pm. Its quarter pound cheeseburger with onion, special sauce, and a bottle of Rolling Rock American Lager is arguably one of the best deals in town at just $8. Fresh mozzarella pizza with tomato sauce and basil, is $12, deviled eggs with crispy pepperoni, and tortilla chips with black bean dip are both $5. Red and white wines on tap are $7.50 and draft beers $5. If you're in the mood for bubbles, Mumm "Brut Prestige" Sparkling Wine is only $7.50.

It's one of the newer additions to Indian Springs Resort and Spa, but you'd never know it- it fits right in and feels like an old favorite that's been part of the famed resort since day one. Comfortable and casual, happy hour is a tasty experience Every Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. House red and white wine is $6 a glass. Sam's beer is $4. But it's the food and drink combinations are particularly gentle on the wallet. Any snack (think fried Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs and bacon wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates) and any Sam's beer is $10. Pizza and Sam's beer costs $15.

A great place to grab a beer, BBQ and without doubt, a glass of wine. Easy walking distance from everywhere you'll want to explore in downtown Napa, the BBQ aroma makes it hard to walk by and not go in to Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin' BBQ. Happy hour happens Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm. Draft Beers and Bounty Hunter Brand Wines By-The-Glass are 2-for-1. This is a meat lovers spot. The Rib & 'Slaw Appetizer goes for just $6. The BBQ Sampler Plate run $11. Can't decide which one to try? Ordering both easily solves any indecisiveness.

Tucked quietly away in the Bardessono hotel in Yountville, if you can't have dinner at Lucy Restaurant & Bar, happy hour is the next best thing. Specials are available every Monday to Thursday, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Come with an appetite because all bites are $6 of less. Choose from the likes of flat bread with Prosciutto, fig mostarda, manchaego, and Aptos kiwi or Crispy Bigeye Tuna Won Tons with yuzu aioli, chili black garlic aioli, and seaweed salad. Even the Beer Battered Onion Rings take on a fancy feel, served with house made barbecue sauce, Point Reyes Blue Cheese and Ranch dressing. Lucy Signature Cocktails, along with a Trinchero Sauvignon Blanc and a Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon are $10. Seasonal draft pints run $5.

It seems as though there's always something going on at Farmstead in St. Helena. In addition to a year-round farmers market (days vary with the season) there's a general store, and café in addition to the Farmstead restaurant where happy hour is held Monday through Friday from 4pm to 6pm. There's two different menus; one for Monday through Thursday, and another for Friday. The drinks are different but you'll find the same tasty food offerings. From barbecued oysters with chile lime butter, and warm burrata with roasted garlic, estate olive oil, and grilled bread to nachos loaded with pulled pork and cheddar cheese. It's tough to go wrong.

One of the newer additions to the downtown Napa restaurant scene, ALBA is located at River Terrace Inn. Happy hour is a daily occurrence, from 3pm to 6pm. Draft beers and well cocktails are just $5. Wine will run you just a dollar more. Everything on the happy hour bites menu is $6 or less, so trying it all isn't a bad idea. The Salmon poke is served with mango puree, cucumbers, wakame, and a soy glaze. Fingers foods like rosemary and parmesan French fries with lemon aioli, and artichoke dip with fontina, parmesan and mozzarella, are easy to share.

There are great eats to be found during happy hour at Carpe Diem. Held daily from 4pm to 6pm, draft beers are $2 off, the white and red of the week are $6, and the bubbles of the week are just $7 a glass. A Moscow Mule will set you back $8. There's no excuse to go hungry here. The Chef's taco of the day is $3, and truffle popcorn or harissa fries cost $4. The five cheese or charcuterie plate is the most expensive thing on the happy hour menu at $14. (Plan accordingly, Carpe Diem is closed on Sunday.)

Sky and Vine has a leg up on the competition when it comes to location. Set atop the Archer Hotel in downtown Napa, the views had people talking long before it opened in spring 2018. Happy hour is served daily 9pm to close. Snacks range from $4 to $16 and include options like marinated olives, Marcona almonds with aleppo pepper and rosemary, Chef Frankie's beef jerky, tempura asparagus with mint aioli, and those famous lobster corn dogs from Charlie Palmer Steak. For $9 dollars, you can chose from assorted sparkling, red, and white wine, and cocktails including a Moscow Mule. Draught beer costs $5.

Everybody's happy, every day from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the bar and lounge at Charlie Palmer Steak Napa. Located in the Archer Hotel in downtown Napa, both its specials and location will make you smile. Small plates available for $7 include: Blistered Shishito Peppers with lime and sea salt, lobster corn dogs with pickled ramp remoulade, veal and ricotta meatballs with fontina polenta, shaved pecorino, smoked tomato, and fennel ragout, and crisp French fries with chipotle aioli. In addition to a selection of sparkling, red, and white wine for $7 a glass, cocktail lovers can order a Manhattan or Corpse Reviver No. 2. Beers including Warsteiner Dunkel, CP House Brewed Golden Ale, Lagunitas Little Sumpin, and Sons Pilsner are a bargain during happy hour for just $4.
