About Tucson, AZ Nightlife
After the sun goes down, Tucson nightlife heats up at a variety of nightspots around the Old Pueblo. The city's large college student population turns the Fourth Avenue district and Main Gate area into a hotbed of nightlife activity. These spots, clustered around the University of Arizona and downtown Tucson, feature trendy lounges, live music venues and down-home bar and grills. In the swanky foothills neighborhood, upscale shopping centers like La Encantada are home to wine bars, open-late bistros and play regular host to live outdoor jazz and blues performances. Tucson is also home to many country western-themed saloons and restaurants that offer line dancing and cowboy ambiance. Around midtown, you'll also come across restaurants that feature live mariachi music, salsa dancing and flamenco. Finally, don't forget downtown Tucson, home to live music, dance clubs and late-night drinking holes.
