Best Wine Club Nominees
ACME Fine Wines
The mission of ACME’s wine club is simple: introduce wine enthusiasts to the best wines from small producers they’ve likely never heard of or can’t gain access to due to their niche production. Established in 2003, they still manage to delight and surprise members with their five tiers of clubs, ranging from first releases to cult-worthy allocations.
Beaulieu Vineyard
Beaulieu Vineyard in Napa Valley offers curated selections of their best labels, including members-only bottles that aren’t available outside their club shipments. Choose from two or four standard deliveries per year; both options offer two exclusive and seasonal shipments for summer and the holidays.
Beringer Vineyards
Joining Beringer’s wine club permits members more than just wine deliveries, but also invitations to exclusive events, a wine club ambassador for customized selections, and complimentary tastings for you and up to three guests. There are four clubs offered, including a coveted reserve club that ships two to three bottles six times a year.
Cline Family Cellars
With three different subscription levels and no membership fees, members of the club by Cline Family Cellars can enjoy quarterly club selections handpicked by their winemaker — all at special discounts. Complimentary tastings for club members and three guests, access to new and limited releases, and early access and ticket discounts to winery events throughout the year are also included.
Component Wine Club
It’s not often that joining a Napa-based wine club grants access to bottles from outside the famed U.S. wine region, but Component is unique in that way. Their wine club comprises personalized shipments of the brand’s single-variety wines from Napa, Sonoma, Bordeaux, and Provence, plus wine club members have exclusive access to library wines and magnums.
DAOU Vineyards
This Paso Robles-based winery offers a customizable wine club that begins before you even join. The sign-up page at DAOU Vineyards will prompt you to choose your preferred style of wine, desired number of bottles per shipment, as well as desired number of deliveries per year to ensure you’re completely comfortable with your new club membership.
The Feiring Line Wine Society
American wine journalist Alice Feiring started this wine club to share her subjective selections at a grander scale. Every month, she chooses two to four bottles to highlight that are mostly limited releases or difficult to find, along with an extremely special bottle on occasion. Drink them when they arrive or cellar them for later, but they’re insider selects every time.
Harvest Ridge Winery
Harvest Ridge Winery presents two clubs — one in Delaware, one in Pennsylvania — both of which offer perks and discounts for their respective tasting room locations. There’s no membership fee, only an obligation of purchasing at least a quarterly club pack which include exclusive wines, new releases, or new vintages. And if you're not local to the area, club packs can be shipped to select states.
Helen's Wines
Located in Los Angeles, this regional wine shop emphasizes naturally-driven and organically farmed labels and limited production vineyards. The wine club selects are as dynamic as the bottles lining the shelves at Helen's, meaning you should always be surprised upon wine delivery, especially as a personalized description and tasting notes always accompany the selects.
Naked Wines
Naked Wines invests in independent winemakers, so customers get insider prices to exclusive wines. Customers, known as Angels, deposit a monthly membership fee into an Angel account, which can be used to order wine from indie winemakers at any time.
Nicolas-Jay's Confrérie
Nicolas-Jay's Confrérie honors the traditional winemaking of Burgundy at their vineyard in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Members gain access to a wine made only for the Confrérie, as well as Nicolas-Jay's limited-release wines, events across the U.S., and curated visits at their Newberg estate.
Orange Glou
Each monthly Orange Glou shipment includes three, six, or 12 bottles of wine, along with descriptions, tasting notes, food pairing suggestions, and vinification information. This service is devoted to skin-contact white wines, also known as orange wines.
Primal Wine
Primal Wine's Natural Wine Club offers deliveries focused on five different options, ranging from mixed wine (which includes a variety of wines) to more focused shipments of red, white, or orange wines. Once you pick your preferred style, you can choose the number of bottles and frequency of deliveries, choosing from three, six, or 12 bottles delivered every month, every two months, or every three months. As it’s not associated with a winery, members always receive a wide selection of producers.
San Pasqual Winery
Family-owned San Pasqual Winery offers members three handpicked wine selections each quarter, available for pickup or delivery. If you choose to pick up your wine, you'll also receive a complimentary tasting for two, which is a fun extra perk. All members receive 30% off cases and 25% off additional bottle purchases.
The Sip
The Sip is for those who love Champagne and sparkling wine. Bi-monthly shipments include three mini bottles or one mini bottle and one full-size bottle of sparkling wine from wine regions around the globe, as well as tasting notes and seasonal pairing ideas. Subscribers earn credits toward full-size bottles so they can stock up on a new favorite.
ta·ca·rón
Based out of South Carolina, this Cuban-inspired shop offers a global boutique wines club that provides two bottles every month. Along with the wines, members receive pairing suggestions with every wine as well as tasting notes.
Vinebox
A wine subscription from Vinebox doesn’t come by the bottle; each of six wines arrives in a 100-milliliter sealed glass vial. Every box includes tasting notes and pairing suggestions, and members can view and sip alongside sommelier-led virtual tasting videos.
Vintner's Collective
The Vintner’s Collective in Napa Valley offers six different wine club options, ranging from the wallet-friendly Bordello to the ultra-exclusive The Frontier, featuring highly allocated and rare bottles. All members also receive complimentary bar tastings at their Napa Valley tasting room.
Willamette Valley Vineyards
There are five club memberships to choose from at Willamette Valley Vineyards, ranging from cellared red wines to selected sweet wines as well as their most limited release wines. A sixth customizable club option is available for those who are able to pick up their wines monthly.
