With the exception of Jijoca de Jericoacoara, home to one of the most famous beaches in Brazil, the other cities in Rota das Emoes (The Route of Emotions) - a tour created by a partnership among Maranho, Piau and Cear, with the support of Sebrae (a body which promotes training and supports small companies) are unknown.
Chaval, the first city, is bordered by Piau. It produces salt and the surrounding granite rocks are its greatest attraction.
Towards the East, we find the city of Barroquinha, where the beach of Bitupit and Camocim are located.
Then, finally, Jijoca de Jericoacoara. One of its most sought-after attractions, busy year-round, is Lagoa do Paraso (Paradise Lagoon), which, as the name suggests, has crystal clear, warm waters and hammocks strategically placed in the water.
There is a good service structure in the area, with beach clubs and restaurants.
ENVIRONMENTAL FEE
Vila de Jericoacoara, located in Jijoca, is always swarmed with visitors. In order to gain access, you must pay an environmental fee of R$ 5/day (US$ 1.5), per person.
Visitors who arrive by car can go to the hotel, leave their bags there and park their cars in the parking lot - tourists are not allowed to drive their cars in the area.
Jeri has been a trendy location for many years now, and the prices of its restaurants and bars can be compared to those in So Paulo.
It is not a cheap destination, but there are many options, ranging from expensive beach clubs and bars, to DJ parties at the beach and forrs, which have a mix of locals and tourists.
