Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams have two of the best wide receivers in the game. Cooper Kupp is just two seasons removed from winning the Triple Crown and Puka Nacua stunned the world after breaking several rookie receiving records as a 5th round rookie.

The Rams Skinny Podcast recently ranked the receiving corps among the NFL’s best. Here are their top-5 units in the league and the reasoning;

  1. San Francisco 49ers
  2. Miami Dolphins
  3. Philadelphia Eagles
  4. Minnesota Vikings
  5. Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams Ranked 5th Best By Rams Skinny

  • Kupp and Nacua are elite – But the Rams haven’t utilized them within the same game. When usage increases, so does the risk of injury, especially with how these play the position. If the Rams can learn to share the wealth, they will be doing themselves a favor.
  • A Better Running Game – To that point, Sean McVay has seemed to turn a corner when it comes to running the ball. This will help take the pressure off the star receivers. While it won’t result in huge fantasy points, this approach will keep both Kupp and Nacua on the field.
  • Kupp At Full Capacity – Kupp didn’t seem to play at full capacity last season, perhaps due to lingering issues from his recent injuries. But all reports point toward a fully healthy Kupp this season. That should result in an even more exciting and efficient offense.
  • Receiver 3 – They head into the 2024 season with Demarcus Robinson likely taking the third spot in the McVay 11 personnel offense. He didn’t see much action until the second half of the season but came up big in the clutch. He quickly became a favorite target for Matthew Stafford to move the chains. 20 of Robinson’s 26 catches went for a first down.
  • Depth Concerns – Behind those three the depth gets concerning. Tutu Atwell has yet to carve out a spot for himself in the offense. But they do have Jordan Whittington, who they drafted in the 6th round, and Tyler Johnson, who has a few good years under his belt.
