Bernie Kosar: "I believe in the power of positive thinking. I believe that positive energy can be manifested in our brains. I visualize good health. It’s not so much that I’m trying to sell it to myself, or that I’m in denial, as it is choosing to be positive.’’ https://t.co/8KI7ZjBU7e

The 60-year-old said he was placed on a liver transplant list in late spring and that “an independent NFL doctor" diagnosed him with Parkinson's disease in mid-February.
Kosar detailed a scary experience in late December that preceded his diagnosis, saying that his body "gave out" during an appearance for the Browns’ Dec. 28 matchup against the New York Jets in Cleveland.
"I really felt like I wasn’t going to make it home from the Jets game," Kosar said. "I sucked it up, though, and continued to avoid the doctors until the new year. Then I went into the hospital and got a massive blood transfusion."
The 1985 first overall pick said when he talked with doctors, "It was like: ‘How are you alive? How are you moving? Because your hemoglobin levels are so low.'"
Kosar spent multiple days in a hospital after falling ill again while attending Super Bowl LVIII festivities in Las Vegas.
According to the report, the franchise's third all-time leading passer's health got worse in March, as he said he "looked like death."
"I wish you could have seen me three months ago," Kosar told Cleveland Magazine. "Actually, maybe not, because I looked like death. I felt like death. E. Coli blood poisoning. Heart trouble. And I really thought I needed the liver transplant ASAP. I was in bad shape."
