Summer is almost here! And with summer comes Fireflies baseball and fun at the ballpark every night of the week. The Fireflies will be playing at home the next two weeks (May 7- May 19), and the promotional line up is jam packed with fun for all. From the return of The Human Cannonball, a bobblehead giveaway, Star Wars Night and Copa de la Diversión weekend, the fun and excitement never stops here in the BullStreet District. Check back right back here on WIS next week for the 4-1-1 on what’s going on May 14-19, but for now, here is everything you have to look forward this first week of the homestand at Segra Park:
Thursday, May 9 at 7:05pm: It’s a bird, it’s a plane…..No it’s The Human Cannonball! David “The Bullet” Smith returns to Segra Park for the third straight year to dazzle the crowd with his explosive post-game performance, and it’s all thanks to WIS! Watch a man get shot out of cannon from shallow centerfield all the way to homeplate on WIS Night! Tonight is also a Budweiser Thirsty Thursday where the drink specials are as easy as 1, 2, 3: $1 fountain sodas, $2 domestic draft beer, $3 craft draft beer and $3 house cocktails all night long!
Friday, May 10 at 7:05pm: This Friday night you can take home the first of our two 2024 player bobbleheads! The first 1000 fans in attendance will take home a Frank Mozzicato bobblehead presented by Velocity Clinical Research. Mozzicato, who was the Royals’ 2021 first round draft pick, currently holds a Fireflies franchise record with 174 strikeouts throw in his time in Columbia. Gates open at 6pm and bobbleheads will go fast, so don’t be late!
Saturday, May 11 at 6:05pm: May the Force be with you, young Padawan! In a galaxy far, far away, you can join us Saturday night in our fight to defend Segra Park against the Dark Side. It’s Star Wars Night presented by Founders Federal Credit Union. Break out those lightsabers for Star Wars Night and make sure to stick around after the game for a post-game firework spectacular created to celebrate the Rebellion.
Sunday, May 12 at 5:05pm: We love you mom, and we wouldn’t be who we are today without you! Celebrate your mom at the ballpark this Mother’s Day with pre-game catch on the field with Mom from 4 to 4:30pm, and a free Mom Water canned cocktail for all moms in attendance! This Mother’s Day is also a Sunday Funday with festivities that include pre-game player autographs from 4 to 4:30 and post-game kids run the bases presented by Bang Back Pinball Lounge.
Summer nights are better spent at the ballpark, and you don’t want to miss out on the fun to be had at Segra Park this weekend.
