COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The extreme heat and humidity continues Wednesday leading to another First Alert Weather Day.

· Warm and muggy tonight with lows in the upper 70s.
· Hot and humid again Wednesday with feels like temperatures near 110.
· Drier air arrives Thursday giving us a little relief from the high heat indices.

Wednesday is another First Alert Weather Day for dangerous heat and humidity with highs in the upper 90s and feels like temperatures pushing 110.

Now a dry cold front will sweep through the area Wednesday afternoon/evening and that will usher in some drier air allowing it to feel more comfortable Wednesday night as lows dip into the lower 70s.
Thursday will still be hot with highs in the middle 90s but with the lower humidity heat indices will only top out right at the century mark.

Friday our winds will flip back out of the Southeast and that will send us some more moisture and with a stationary boundary over the region we will have a decent chance for scattered showers and storms in the afternoon, especially to the east of Columbia.

This boundary will then linger over the region keeping rain chances near 40% for both Saturday and Sunday.

Friday: Best chance for scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. Chance of rain 50%. Highs in the lower 90s.
Saturday: A few isolated afternoon showers and storms. Chance of rain 40%. Highs in the low to mid-90s.
