(Gray News) – Target will no longer accept personal checks as forms of payment starting July 15.

According to reports from USA Today and NBC News, Target said the change is due to an “extremely low volume” of customers who use personal checks.

Target said it is committed to streamlining the checkout experience.

Target will still accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, SNAP/EBT, and digital wallet payments like Apple Pay.
