He’s charged with sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; sex trafficking of a minor; and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking.

Also charged are Christy Parker, 26, of Fall River, Mass.; Alexander Smalls, 25, of Beaufort County, S.C.; Cory Primo, 42, of Fall River, Mass.; Avvani Jeffers, 22, of Fall River, Mass.; and Tre’sean Reid, 21, of Beaufort County, S.C.

“For months, these victims endured brutality and depravity allegedly at the hands of these individuals,” said Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Michael J. Krol in New England.

Jeffers faces a detention hearing Monday, while Parker and Primo will appear in U.S. District Court in Boston on Monday. Smalls is awaiting trial in South Carolina and will be arraigned later in Boston.

Tre’sean Reid is a fugitive.

According to court filings, Parker and Smalls worked together between January and August 2023 in the scheme with assistance from Primo, Jeffers and Smalls’ brothers, Tre’sean Reid and Tyreik Reid.

What’s behind Richmond County’s alarming problem with violent crime?

For months, the news has been peppered with shooting after shooting in Richmond County. And everyday people in everyday places are becoming victims.

Parker allegedly reached out to the adult victim, indicating she was homeless and needed a place to live. After moving in with the victim, Parker and her boyfriend, Smalls, allegedly coerced her to quit her job and engage in commercial sex. Parker and Smalls allegedly took all of the profits, using violence and threats to maintain control.

Authorities say that in spring 2023, Parker traveled with the victim to South Carolina, where she continued sex trafficking the victim.

In July 2023, Parker began trafficking a 16-year-old, according to prosecutors.

Parker would allegedly beat the girl if she fell asleep because a customer could request her at any time. On one occasion, Parker allegedly withheld food from her for four or five days after she failed to collect the entire fee from a customer. Parker also allegedly regularly beat and choked the minor and didn’t let her get needed medical care.

Parker allegedly began trafficking a 17-year-old minor victim in August 2023 under similar circumstances.

All of the charges can draw up to life in prison.

“The allegations in this case are truly chilling. One minor victim in this case was forced to engage in sex for money with many men. That young girl is someone’s daughter, she is someone’s granddaughter,” said Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy in Boston. “It is hard to conceive of more vile conduct.”

He said authorities “are using every resource at our disposal to hold perpetrators accountable and seek justice for every victim.”
