Orangeburg man charged in connection with death of 45-year-old

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in connection with the homicide of a 45-year-old.

Brad Lowry, 37, has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a weapon or ammunition by a person convicted of a felony.

Deputies said they were called around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday after receiving reports of a shooting.

A 45-year-old Neeses man was found dead on the 1800 block of McMichael Street lying near the roadway, according to investigators.

Deputies said Lowry was taken into custody on Wednesday after being found at a Corona Apartments residence in Orangeburg.

The investigation is ongoing.
