Chase in Richland County ends in crash, Kershaw County deputies investigate

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Authorities in Richland County say a weekend chase ended in a crash.

Investigators say the chase began Saturday afternoon around 4:30 when Highway Patrol troopers attempted to pull over a car near Forest Drive. The car sped off, prompting a chase.

The suspect led troopers and Richland County deputies on a chase, before crashing near the Winslow subdivision off Clemson road.

Deputies say no one was hurt in the crash.

Due to RCSD being involved in the chase, the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office has been called in to investigate.
