Hornets’ Brandon Miller picked for USA Basketball Select Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Charlotte Hornets guard/forward Brandon Miller has been named to the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s Select Team.

Miller will train in Las Vegas from July 5-8 with the USA Basketball Men’s National Team as it prepares for the Paris 2024 Olympics, according to a release.

Miller averaged 17.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists across 74 games (68 starts) in his first NBA season, earning three Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month awards, an All-Rookie First Team selection and a spot in the Rising Stars event at NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.

The second overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Miller recorded 2.5 3-pointers per game and 184 total 3-pointers in the 2023-24 season, marks that rank third and fourth, respectively, among rookies in NBA history.
