COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Jax is an 8-month-old Boxer mix up for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Jax and his siblings were an “accidental” litter that were living outside in filthy conditions on a very busy highway. Pawmetto Lifeline rescued them back in March. They were all under-socialized, but their confidence really blossomed in their foster homes! Jax is the last of the litter still waiting on a forever home of his own.

Jax is an adorable cuddle bug! He is very adventurous and loves to go for walks along the river or check out some trails. He loves to say “Hi” to everyone he meets along the way! Jax is great in the car and loves to check out the view. He is working on relaxing some of his puppy energy and learning to just “chill.” Jax is a very fast learner. He has gotten really good at “Sit” and “All 4′s on the Floor.” He is doing fantastic with potty training, as long as he stays on a schedule. He is doing great with crate training too! He loves toys that he can chew on and keep himself busy with.

Jax loves to play, especially with other dogs! He adapts very well to other dogs’ play styles. He is great around children that are big enough he can’t knock over. He is still getting used to his long legs! Jax has never met a cat up close, but he is very curious about them. He would love a fun, playful family to grow up with!

Jax has a reduced adoption fee of $50 which covers his neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Jax will be on-site for adoptions at Pawmetto Lifeline this Saturday, June 29 and he would love to meet you! Pawmetto Lifeline has brand new adoption hours. They are open Tuesdays through Thursdays by appointment only, and Fridays and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for walk-ins. Complete an adoption application online at www.pawmettolifeline.org.
