COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - You’re all invited to the 8th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Festival, a lively celebration of culture, history, and community! Happening on Saturday, June 15, at Dutch Square Mall on 421 Bush River Road from noon until 6 p.m.

Juneteenth is all about remembering the day freedom came to Galveston, Texas, back in 1865, and celebrating the incredible resilience and contributions of African Americans. Get ready for a day packed with fun events! We’ve got vendor booths, historical exhibits, performances by local artists and dance teams, delicious bites from food trucks, and beats spun by DJ Cleve.

But wait, there’s more! Before the big day, catch the SC Juneteenth Black Historical Film Showcase on June 13 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 6319 N Main St, Columbia, SC, and join the SC Juneteenth Freedom Fest Night Parade on June 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Midtown-Downtown Columbia.
