NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Murfreesboro teacher accused of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl will not face criminal charges.

Since October, the teacher has been part of two state investigations at Murfreesboro daycares.

The most recent incident took place at Lionheart Children’s Academy.

WSVM4 spoke with a family member of the three-year-old girl who said the alleged assault was captured on video.

WSMV4 also uncovered that the teacher was part of another investigation at Learning Zone at the John Rice Boulevard location just months before.

Murfreesboro police said the investigation into Lionheart is complete. They also said a Child Protective Investigative Team, which consists of the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, and the Child Advocacy Center, decided to not prosecute.

WSMV4 asked for the police report and investigation, but because this involved an alleged child sexual assault, those records are confidential.

TDCS said an investigation is ongoing on their end.
