SC National Guard Honor Guard performs at funerals around the state as veterans are laid to rest

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina National Guard honors veterans at funerals around the state with a special honor guard team.
The S.C. National Guard Honor Guard has performed at over 1,300 funerals so far this year.
The team showed WIS the meaningful ceremony they perform as families and the nation say their final farewell to American heroes.
