CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - After some late-season speculation, the Coastal Carolina baseball team will indeed dance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Chanticleers will play Vanderbilt at noon Friday as part of the Clemson Regional. It’s the 17th time the program has appeared in an NCAA regional under head coach Gary Gilmore.

Clemson, the region host and overall No. 6 seed, will take on High Point on the other side of the bracket later Friday.

The Chants finished the season 34-23 after being eliminated from the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Thursday. The program is also in the midst of Gilmore’s 29th and final season at the helm.

According to Clemson’s website, all-session tickets will go on sale for all fans starting at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday with single-session tickets going on sale Friday. The first games of the regional will also be televised on ESPN+.
