COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Rodney is a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever mix up for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline!

Pawmetto Lifeline received a call about a large number of puppies running loose on a run-down property in a rural area. Two staff members from Pawmetto Lifeline visited the property that was in total disarray. They were able to capture 8 of the puppies to find them loving homes where they can be part of a family.

All of the puppies were filthy and covered with fleas. Luckily, Rodney loves baths! He had never been inside before or been around a lot of humans, so he was a little nervous upon arrival. He warmed up fast to the staff and volunteers!

Rodney is a wonderful dog with a lot of great Labrador qualities! You would never know he came from such a horrible living situation. He is very friendly and outgoing. Rodney is super sweet and loves humans. He has been learning how to play with toys and absolutely loves them! Play time is his favorite! He loves to be petted and hugged and will even crawl into your lap.

Rodney would love a family that he can grow up with! Like most puppies, he would benefit from an older dog in the home that can teach him the ways and help correct any naughty puppy behaviors that arise. He has pretty big feet and a lot of loose skin wrinkles to grow into, so he will be a larger dog.

You can meet Rodney this Saturday at Pawmetto Lifeline’s Puppy Palooza from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pawmetto Lifeline is located at 1275 Bower Parkway in Columbia, South Carolina. Most puppies are only $100 to adopt right now! Get a head start on the adoption process by completing an adoption application before your visit at www.pawmettolifeline.org.
