COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Gus is a 4-year-old French Bulldog up for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Pawmetto Lifeline rescued Gus from the municipal shelter a little over a month ago. It was evident that he had been used for breeding. He was very thin, and his skin was in terrible condition. He had sores on his legs and urine stains on his belly, probably from living in a crate and only being let out when he was “needed.” Since being placed in a loving foster home, his overall health has greatly improved and he is looking amazing!

Gus is ready to find his forever home where he can be a part of the family! Gus is such a spunky, goofy boy that will keep you smiling with his silly antics. He loves to play and go for walks. Gus wants to say “Hi” to every human he meets and will roll on his back for belly rubs! He loves to snuggle and sleep in late. Gus loves attention and following his humans around. He is such a good boy -- very smart and loyal. Gus would prefer to be an only child in the home but does well around other dogs in neutral territory outside the home!

Frenchies, and other “smushy face” breeds overheat very easily so they cannot go on long walks or hikes in the heat. They are also notorious for snoring, tooting and just being super silly! For Gus, a family with Frenchie breed experience is preferred.

If you are interested in adopting Gus, please complete an adoption application online at www.pawmettolifeline.org.
