Clemson drops regular-season finale at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Clemson Athletics) - Clemson University men’s basketball dropped its season finale at Wake Forest 81-76 on Saturday evening.

The Tigers (21-10, 11-9 ACC) were led by PJ Hall’s (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) 18 points, while Chase Hunter (Atlanta, Ga./Westlake) totaled 17, Joseph Girard III (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) netted 14 and Jack Clark (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) finished with 10.

Clemson trailed 34-28 after the opening stanza but would make a run in the second half. After trailing 36-28, the Tigers went on a 21-8 run to take a five-point lead – its largest of the game.

But it was a game of runs and elite shot making in the second half, the Demon Deacons finished the game making 12-of-their-last-13 shots to help seal the victory.

Clemson will wait to find out their seed in the ACC Tournament after games conclude on Saturday.
