COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - South Carolina (22-5 overall, 10-4 SEC) moved up two spots to No. 18 in both the AP Top-25 Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll on Monday. This marks the fourth straight week the team has been ranked in the top 25 of both major polls.

The poll comes after the Gamecocks picked up a big road win on Saturday at Ole Miss, 72-59, limiting the Rebels to just 33.1 percent shooting.

In the last two seasons under head coach Lamont Paris, the team is 9-0 when limiting opponents to 60 points or less.

The rise in rankings comes after a series of upsets over the last week.

Duke was upset by Wake Forest 83-79 over the weekend and Alabama, in an upset by ranking only, lost to Kentucky in a high-scoring affair.

The former No. 16 Dayton dropped five places this week, allowing the Gamecocks to move into the top 20.

South Carolina looks to continue to climb up the rankings through the last few games of the regular season before SEC Tournament play. The Gamecocks hit the road again on Feb. 28 to face Texas A&M (15-12, 6-8 SEC). Tip-off is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
