Furry Friends Friday: Vato
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Vato is a 10-month-old Labrador Retriever mixed for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.
Vato had a mom who loved him very much. Sadly, they were living in a dangerous home situation and his mother needed to seek refuge at a women’s shelter. She was heartbroken to have to give up Vato and his brother. But she needed to know they would be safe too so surrendering them was her only option.
Pawmetto Lifeline promised to find them loving and safe forever families.
The name Vato is Spanish for “Guy” and what a cool guy he is! He is super sweet! He thinks he is a small lap dog and will curl right up in your lap. Vato enjoys exploring the great outdoors, so walks are his favorite! When he is inside, he loves to play with balls and then lounge on the sofa.
At only 10 months old, Vato is still a puppy with lots of learning to do. He has lots of playful energy and needs an active family. He is already housebroken and knows how to sit on command! Vato loves his humans very much.
He sometimes gets sad and cries when you leave so he would love a family that is home often to hang out with him. Vato has done fantastic with other dogs, but he does not like cats. He is exceptionally great with children also!
