Free Alzheimer’s educational conference coming to Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - According to SCDHEC, over 95,000 people living in South Carolina have Alzheimer’s.

This is with an expected 26.4 percent increase by 2025.

But the disease impacts more than just the patient.

What are the signs to look out for? What resources are available? Where do you turn for help?

These questions can be answered during a special event coming to Columbia.

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America will kick off its 2024 Educating America Tour on Wednesday.

President and CEO, Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. joined Intisar Faulkner on Midday to talk about this very important event.
