COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Mira is a 3-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mixed up for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline.

Mira was a stray living in the woods so she had a pretty tough start to life. She was pregnant as well. A Good Samaritan had been visiting Mira every day to feed her, which in turn helped her become less fearful of humans. After her puppies were born, she became even more gentle and trusting. Mira is thankful to not have to worry about shelter or her next meal anymore but she still dreams of a forever home of her own.  All of her puppies have been adopted and now it is mama’s turn for a loving, forever family!

Mira loves people now! She is full of positive energy when she greets you. Her youth shines through when she’s playing ball, tug-of-war or enjoying all the fun dog activities that she never knew about before! She is loving her foster home where she can enjoy learning how to be a family dog. Mira loves to go for walks and she walks surprisingly well on-leash. She has discovered that car rides are one of her new favorite pastimes as well!

Mira does great with both cats and dogs! She would love a home where she can count on being loved for the rest of her days!
