UTSU Student Perks & Discounts
The UTSU recognizes the financial barriers involved in post-secondary education. We actively connect with retail, food and entertainment partners for discounts for our members.
Tickets can be purchased at the Community Hub in the Student Commons (Room 164, 230 College Street). Our hours of sale are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding holidays). Please note that we only accept cash and debit.
Tickets are non-refundable.
Students can now purchase Canada’s Wonderland Good Any Day tickets for the 2024 season at the UTSU welcome desk. The price is $47.99 + HST and we accept cash and debit. Tickets are regular admission, non-refundable, and are good for any day when the park is open.

Students can receive a discount on the TTC by using TTC Post-Secondary Monthly Pass (cost is $128.15/month rather than the $156/month for an Adult TTC Monthly Pass). To receive this discount, you must have a a TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Card. The cost of the ID is $5.25.
Students can get their TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID Card from the Bathurst Subway Station, and must have:
- A piece of photo ID and their T-Card
- Proof of full-time enrolment at U of T (available on ACORN)
NOTE: Students who are 19 years old or younger do not require this card to get a discount on fares. You can simply visit any Shoppers Drug Mart store with a government-issued Photo ID and your PRESTO card and request the Youth discount. You can then choose between a tap discount of $2.35 per trip, or an unlimited monthly pass for $128.15.
Students can purchase movie passes for redemption at Cineplex locations including
- Admit One: $14.50 (retail value is $13.50 + taxes and fees)
- Great Escape: $40.00 (2 general admission, 2 regular soft drinks and 1 regular popcorn. Retail value is $45.90 + taxes and fees)
All prices are tax-inclusive. Online ticket redemption does not include $1.50 Cineplex booking fee (waived when purchased in person). Due to popular demand, there is a limit of 6 movie passes per person. Tickets are available at the UTSU welcome desk.
Students can get 10% off their groceries on purchases over $50 when they show their student ID card at Maisie’s Independent City Market (in the Manulife Centre at Bay and Bloor). Discount is only available on Tuesdays. For more information, contact 416-923-8831.
Show some pride for one of Toronto’s teams while also saving money! Students can grab tickets to Toronto Marlies games for the rest of 2022 at a discount price. Plus, show your valid student ID for 20% off at the poutinerie inside Scotiabank Arena. Tickets range from $19 to $43 after tax.
The new AGO Annual Pass offers a full year of unlimited access to the AGO Collection and all special exhibitions. The pass is FREE for ages 14-25 and only $35 for ages 26 and up. Sign up now and visit the AGO all year, anytime.
Students can purchase movie passes for redemption at Imagine Cinemas for $9.89 including tax. Imagine Cinemas is an independently-owned movie chain.
Students can purchase Ripley’s Aquarium Express Anytime vouchers for only $32.00 (retail value $44.00). Tickets must be purchased from the Community Hub at the Student Commons (230 College St).
