Cellphone lots: Located one mile west of Terminal 1 on Lambert International Boulevard. Hours: 7 a.m. -11 p.m. Amenities: flights display board and portable toilets. Terminal 2 lot inside Cargo City complex on the north side of Air Cargo Road. Hours: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m; 60 spaces, flight display board.

Transportation to/from city

Most convenient: A taxi ride to downtown St. Louis will take 20-25 minutes and cost about $40. See more options.

Least expensive: MetroLink to downtown St. Louis will take about 35 minutes and cost $3.75 (2-hour pass withtransfer).

Tips and tidbits

The airport has a 24-hour USO (Terminal 1, satellite in Terminal 2), a US Bank branch, smoking areas, a 1,500-square-foot children's play port (Gate C2) and two outdoor pet-relief areas.

Nearby layover option

Historic Main Street in St. Charles (shops, restaurants) is on the Missouri River and is 5 miles from the airport. The St. Louis Galleria is 10 miles from the airport and has restaurants, shops and a six-screen movie theater.
