Checkpoint savvy
Busiest times: Airport-wide, weekdays from 5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m; Sunday: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. International Terminal E, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Workarounds: Terminal B has two checkpoints and an additional shuttle checkpoint with a connecting corridor post-security.

Transportation to/from city
Most convenient: Taxi to downtown Boston will take 15-30 minutes and cost between $25 and $45. Shared vans make the trip to downtown Boston for a minimum of $20 per person. See more options.
Least expensive: The MBTA (the "T"): Free Silver Line Rapid Bus Service route SL1 to South station (includes a free transfer to the Red Line; travel time is about 30 minutes) or take the shuttle bus to MBTA Blue Line (fare is $2.75; travel time is 30-40 minutes). Tips and tidbits
Logan has Kidport play areas in Terminals A, B and C, rocking chairs, a public art program, pet-relief areas outside each terminal, a USO lounge (Terminal C), and great views of the airfield from the top floors of the central garage in Terminals B (open) and C (enclosed). Spa services available in Terminals B and C.
Nearby layover option
The airport's 9/11 Memorial (The Place of Remembrance) is a large glass sculpture on 2.5 acres accessible via pedestrian bridges to the Hilton Boston Logan Airport. Or take the free shuttle bus (Route No. 66) to the water transportation terminal, where there's a 3/4-mile Harborwalk with views of the Boston skyline.
