Lindsey Graham predicts next president will be 'she'
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, an outspoken critic of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, indicated Monday that he expects Trump to lose to Democrat Hillary Clinton in November.
Talking about the need to lift caps on defense spending, the South Carolina senator made a reference to the gender of the next president.
"The next president, whoever he or she — most likely she — is going to be, needs to get these defense cuts set aside," he said in a speech at the Center for a New American Security, according to a report inThe Hill.
Graham also referred to opponents of increased defense spending as "a--holes," according to the same article.
"If you’re going to fight fixing sequestration, you’re a complete a--hole," he said, referring to the budget caps on military spending. "If you want a fight over this, whether you’re Democrat or Republican, we’re going to have one hell of a fight because I’m not going to put up with this crap any longer. Come next year, we’re going to get a resolution."
