- Cyndi V1 contributionSummer Rock n' Roll DinnerWhat an amazing evening we had last night at the Wolf Mountain Summer Rock n' Roll Dinner. The service and staff are the absolute best, the food is totally unbelievably delicious, the atmosphere and views are the 100% best in the North Georgia Mountains. And of course, Karl's guitar collection leaves you speechless. Wolf is truly our slice of paradise!Visited August 2023Written August 20, 2023
- Ben S22 contributionsSpectacular locationWe made wolf mountain winery a priority when visiting the area and it didn’t disappoint! The views are incredible, the wine was amazing and the food was delicious. Liisa was a great hostess and Jessica was attentive and informative, giving useful information on the wines we tasted. The whole team were very welcoming, with the venue a pleasure to visit- we are already planning on returning!Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 21, 2023
- Kathy JoAuburn, Alabama299 contributionsReally fun lunch!Six adults came for wine tasting and lunch. We started with the tasting, located downstairs with outdoor seating. The view is very pretty and we enjoyed 2 whites and 3 reds. The wine was surprisingly good. Our lunch was a great time! We had fried Brie, charcuterie and burrata, for starters. All three were so good! I had a pizza that was fine, 3 or 4 had really good club sandwiches with crispy fries. A couple of salads, one with salmon, also looked great. Our server, biology student at NGA, was great. There was one birthday and he brought a complimentary 3 dessert plate. Much appreciated and all delicious!! We couldn’t have had more fun at this picturesque winery/restaurant.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 12, 2023

- Shady HBonita Springs, Florida153 contributionsStunning viewsLove that you can get a tasting flight or either sparkling or not but would also be nice to separate out whites/reds. The wines overall were good but the scenery makes it all worth it. Having a glass of wine overlooking all the greenery and mountains, stunning. The signage coming in was a bit confusing as to where to go/park exactly but they do have plenty of room for everyone. We saw a wedding going on and I agree this would be a great wedding venue.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 4, 2024

We went for Sunday brunch and did some wine tasting. The property is beautiful. Brunch was nice, it was buffet with a turkey carving station and some really nice deserts. Seemed really family focused with children swarming the desert tables as soon as new trays of deserts were put out. Still, I’d go back for the brunch but wine tasting was rough. They only offered a mixed flight with two reds and three whites. We only drink reds so we passed on the flight and talked the bartender into letting us just taste the two reds which was nice. Both burned going down. One seemed better than the other so we bought a bottle but between the four of us we couldn’t finish half of it.
Not a lot of the tasting rooms in North Georgia have restaurants. I’d definitely go back to eat and the go to some of the other vineyards to taste.

My husband and I went with another couple who had visited this winery in a previous year, and we were all excited for the December winemaker's dinner for 2023. We drove 2.5 hours one way to get here, and the dinner was served at 7 PM, when it's incredibly dark outside. It was very strange to see there are basically no lights on outside to help navigate the roads, which are hilly, and we didn't have much of an idea of where we should park. We did eventually find a small parking area, and were able to walk to a couple of golf carts waiting to take people to the main building.
We were shown our table, and weren't really sitting in the "main" area, but the windowed room with almost outside patio seating. We would have asked if we could sit elsewhere had we known how uncomfortable the chairs were before sitting down to dinner.
Before dinner, you go downstairs for appetizers and your first glass of wine. Unless you're directly in front of the door where the waiters come in with appetizers, you'll probably never get anything. People were swarming the waiters who only had about 12 of each appetizer on their platters. The food would be gone instantly. There were so many people shoved in this room, too. There was a "speech" given before we were to go upstairs, and I found it to be incredibly...odd. I enjoyed hearing about the food and the winemaking, but I did not enjoy how it felt the speakers were throwing how much money they had in our faces? Maybe I'm not the demographic they were hoping for.
Our first course was a salad, and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was the best part of the meal. The main course was a good choice, but wasn't something that was rave-worthy. I was the only person at my table who enjoyed the citrus-y sauce, though. Dessert was a cheesecake mousse with a raspberry sauce. The mousse was decent, but I found the raspberries too sour to enjoy the entire thing. Our friends thought the dessert was the best part of the meal, though.
I can't give an honest review of the wine. I don't drink wine, but I did sample all wines offered at the dinner. While they weren't for me, our friends took home a bottle of wine they enjoyed. When we left, they did turn on some outside lights around the main building. There was a very steep road down to the parking area, or a walk through the edge of a vineyard that did not have any lighted areas. It was a frustrating walk back to the car.
Overall, while I had been wanting to go back for brunch, I don't think we would make the 5-hour round trip back, unless we happened to be in the area. Due to the lack of lighting, the odd vibe from the speech, and so-so enjoyment from everyone at the table when it came to the food, I don't know if it was worth the price and drive.
However, what takes the cake, is the fact we were charged our tip amount twice. What was supposed to be a $95 per person dinner, ended up costing us $283.20 for just two people due to $38 being taken out twice for tip. I reached out for help, but never heard back. We tried to dispute the extra $38 on our card, but did not save our receipt. This has never happened to us, and we will now always either take a picture or keep all receipts so this doesn't happen again.

We ate lunch inside. The food was exceptional. The Brie appetizer was awesome. Staff was very kind. The wine was some of the best we’ve tried in Georgia.
The view was beautiful. Definitely will return again.

Wonderful lunch with friends! The food & wine were awesome. My friends loved their salad with beets and salmon and pulled pork sandwich with fries. My pizza with caramelized onions was delicious. The views of the mountains were amazing!

Went here with a girlfriend. We each bought a tasting flight. The wine was surprisingly average. Zero customer service, no explanation of what we were tasting. Beautiful grounds, though. Will not return.

I don’t know the place, and I live 2 hours from Wolf Mountain Winery. I was wondering if there is a place to stay there? Or any recommendation nearby.

We are visiting Dahlonega in November and are looking for experiences. We have two young children (6 and 8). Do you allow children? Is this an appropriate atmosphere for children?
Thank you.
Written October 28, 2020
As a visitor to many of the wineries in north Georgia; I would say it isn’t a place for young children
There are so many great places, experiences for family fun but not the wineries
In Dahlonega, visit the Gold Mines our kids loved the tour and panning for gold.

Can I bring my own food to the outdoor seating at the tasting room?
Written October 17, 2020
Hello Rebekah-
We do not allow outside food at the winery as we have appetizers and flat crust pizzas available at the tasting room to enjoy on the outdoor patios. We do recommend to arrive early soon after we open to secure a table as they are first come, first serve. Hope to see you soon!

Yes they are open year round Thurs-Sun with the exception of some holidays. With COVID we still check online as each county or state has different rules but they have been open.

Do you serve dinner? I know lunch is over at 3pm.
Written October 3, 2016
Sorry to respond late, but we've been traveling. Our experience was with Sunday brunch, but judging from other answers, it appears answer is that restaurant does not serve dinner (unless you consider a big meal at noon to be dinner, as many of us Southerners do).
Written October 14, 2016
I see you have sparkling no wines. Do you have wines OTHER than the sparkling big variety?
Written August 13, 2016
Yes. In addition to the sparkling wines, they also have a few whites and a few reds.
Written August 16, 2016
We will be in Dahlonega on Thursday, August 25. We are interested in tasting your wines and perhaps a winery tour.
Written August 13, 2016
Already answered. As I am a reviewer; not the winery itself, I have no idea.

Do you allow children at the vineyard? We have family coming into town with a baby and would like to drive up for a tasting. Thanks!
Written August 16, 2015
Thanks for your interest in Wolf Mountain and we do allow kids accompanied by adults. We hope to see you at the winery soon!
