Dr. Jill Biden began her term as First Lady with a sartorial bang, stepping out in a series of stunning outfits—many of which were created by American designers with an eye toward sustainability. Over President Joe Biden's years in office, the First Lady has not been afraid to repeat her outfits, dress in monochrome outfits, or shy away from a floral print.
"When I became First Lady, I knew people would start to care a lot more about what I wore," Dr. Biden said at a ceremony where she donated her inaugural dresses to the First Ladies Collection at the Smithsonian. "And there have been times when I welcome that spotlight, because I knew that my clothes could help me say something important."
