I am incredibly particular about many things, but I am very specific when it comes to sunscreen especially. A lot of SPF formulations irritate my eyes, so I tend to buy options from the pharmacy when I'm in Europe because the filter technology primarily used there is more advanced. However, I have recently been struggling with a particularly stubborn perioral dematitis outbreak, and a derm suggested that I switch to mineral SPF from chemical, to be as gentle as possible for my reactive skin. I obliged, but begrudgingly because the first option I tried was a little too pasty and it pilled. I'm set on my other routine for the most part so the SPF had to be swapped. And swapped it was, with the Inn Beauty Project Mineral Glow SPF.

I've been using it for about a month and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only do I love that it shields from UVA/UVB rays, but it also touts a blue light shielding benefit as well. The formulation is sheer and silky, it evens but doesn't really provide a ton of coverage, which is ideal for me as I don't liked feeling caked when its hot out, nor do I really love how wearing a ton of coverage looks on me. Something that definitely is the case with any mineral sunscreen is that it does take some rubbing in, but I have found that this formulation blends easily in a few seconds, doesn't get patchy, and it does not pill. No white cast either, for me at least, though the shade range might be limiting for very deep skintones.

Zinc formulations in the past have been quite drying for me, but I haven't experienced that at all with this SPF, just a really good glow. And no stinging eyes either. All in all, this SPF is the mineral formulation winner in my book, and I may not go back to chemical formulations going forward—that's how much I like it.
