Winter Olympics 2022

The Winter Olympic Games is held every four years for sports performed on snow and ice. It is the sister competition to the modern Olympic Games and follows a similar format. Teams compete across myriad events in the pursuit of points, achieved by attaining gold, silver and bronze medals. The winning country is determined by the highest number of medals received, with higher value placed on gold through to bronze. The 2022 Olympic Games will be held in Beijing and will be closed to the public because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
