Theresa May

Theresa May served as the Conservative prime minister from 2016 to 2019 after being home secretary from 2010. Her premiership was dominated by Brexit negotiations and also saw the Grenfell Tower fire and the exposing of the Windrush scandal. She resigned as prime minister in May 2019 after MPs rejected her Brexit deal three times. May had been the MP for Maidenhead since 1997 until she stood down in 2024.
