Sadiq Khan

Sadiq Khan is a British politician who has served as mayor of London since 2016. Khan, a qualified solicitor, was a councillor in Wandsworth before being elected as the MP for Tooting in south London in 2005. In 2015, Khan was one of 36 Labour MPs who nominated Jeremy Corbyn for leader. A year later he stood down as an MP when he was elected as mayor of London. Since then, Khan has implemented policies such as free meals in primary schools and the expansion of the ultra-low emissions zone. He was re-elected as mayor for a third term in 2024.
