Prague

Prague is the capital and the largest city in the Czech Republic, with a population of about 1.3 million. It is the fifth most visited city in Europe, with its centre being listed as one of Unesco’s World Heritage sites. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia where several Roman emperors lived and is well known for its Gothic and Baroque architecture which characterises one of its main tourist sites, Prague Castle. The capital is also home to Charles University, one of the oldest universities in operation in Europe.
