Portsmouth FC

Portsmouth FC is an English football club competing in EFL League One. Over their 125 year-plus history, they have played in all four tiers of English professional football, winning the title at least once in each division. Notable players in their recent history have included David James, Sol Campbell, Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe. The club entered a period of difficulty in the 2010s, being relegated from the Premier League in 2009-10 and going into administration twice. It was purchased by the Pompey Supporters Trust in 2013 before being taken over in 2017 by the Tornante Company.
