Joe Biden

Joe Biden is president of the United States. He was inaugurated as the 46th president in January 2021, after his victory over Donald Trump. At the age of 78 he became the oldest president ever to enter office. Biden, a Democrat, served under Barack Obama as the 47th vice-president from 2009 to 2017, and as a senator for Delaware from 1973 to 2009. He stood unsuccessfully for his party’s presidential nomination in 1988 and 2008. In July 2024 he announced he was ending his re-election campaign, endorsing Kamala Harris, his vice-president, to replace him as the nominee.
