Dublin

Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland. Located on the east coast of the country at the mouth of the River Liffey, the city is officially recognised as having been established in 988 by Vikings, although references to settlements existing at the site go back hundreds of years earlier. In recent years, Dublin has become a hub for global technology companies, with Microsoft, Facebook and Google all having set up European headquarters or offices in the city.
